LOGAN — The judge appointed to hear the criminal case of a former Hocking County Sheriff’s deputy has set a hearing in the case, to consider motions by the county prosecutor to replace the special prosecutors from the Ohio Attorney General’s office who are currently handling the matter for the state. St. Henry Community Picnic crowd comes out to support baseball games for people with disabilities
ST. HENRY, OH (WLIO) - The community of St. Henry wrapped up their 4th of July celebrations on Sunday. The 3-day St. Henry Community Picnic was packed with fun events like live music, a car show, bingo, raffles, and competitions like a pickleball tournament and a kids tractor pull. One of the highlights of Sunday's schedule was the Mercer County Challenger baseball game. The organization has been providing an accessible, welcoming group for those with physical and developmental disabilities to enjoy sports for over 30 years, and this is their 6th year playing during St. Henry's annual holiday festival.

MIDDLE POINT—The Middle Point Fire Department Fire and EMT units were dispatched to the intersection of US-30 and Mendon Road intersection at 3:39 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. A pickup truck north bound on Mendon Road was attempting to make a left hand turn onto the westbound lanes of US-30 when it was struck by an eastbound car on US-30. The car struck the pickup truck and then rolled over multiple times before coming to rest on its side in the median.
