NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — The man accused of leaving propane tanks around the courthouse in New Britain in January has roughly 15 charges against him.

Pasquale Sanseverino, 49, was charged in March with two counts of first-degree breach of peace and first-degree threatening. He was held on a $100,000 bond for these charges.

According to state police, a propane tank was left near the front entrance, and the other was on the left side of the building near the sally port on Jan. 19.

The courthouse was evacuated and the Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad responded out of an abundance of caution. Bomb technicians deemed the propane tanks to be empty.

Sanseverino was arrested with another man in March after they allegedly crashed their vehicle into New England Audio and Tinting in Newington to burglarize it in January.

He’s also facing several charges, including first-degree sexual assault and second-degree strangulation for a 2021 incident in New Britain.

The victim accused Sanseverino of rape.

He was also charged with first-degree threatening, second-degree breach of peace, and first-degree unlawful restraint.
