NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (WTNH) — Central Connecticut State University is celebrating its 175th anniversary by cutting ribbons at eight renovated buildings.

One of those, for the school of education, took place on Tuesday. The project added offices, conference rooms and a community room to Henry Barnard Hall.

“The motto above the entrance to Barnard Hall — ‘Start with a dream,’ the other side says ‘end with a future,'” said Paula Talty, the interim dean of the school of education. “Finish with a future, indeed. That couldn’t be more true.”
