    New Principals at Lord Stirling, Livingston Schools In Busy Summer For New Brunswick

    Kevin Jarido has been hired as the new principal at Lord Stirling School in New Brunswick.

    Kevin Jarido, replacing Ken Redler as the principal, started in his new position July 1.

    Jarido’s move to the elementary school on Redmond Street is one of many within the New Brunswick Public School District this summer, as administrators within the city’s 12 public schools engage in a sort of game of musical chairs.

    For instance, Tanisha Cooley will step into the role as vice principal at McKinley School.

    Alexandria Edvin will serve as the vice principal at Lord Stirling School, replacing Thomas Crane.

    Crane and Redler have retired, and their final day in the school district was June 30.

    Hope Wilkins, who had served as the vice principal at Livingston School, was hired by the Board of Education as the school’s new principal. She replaces William Smith, who spent 24 years as an educator in the New Brunswick School District.

    Crystal Favours has been hired as the vice principal at Livingston School.

    Carla Sagarra has been hired at the Pathways Middle School as the vice principal, a newly created position.

    The first day of the school year for staff members is Tuesday, Sept. 3. Students’ first day is Sept. 5. A half-day is scheduled for the first two days of the new school year.
