Woman arrested for assaulting a constable deputy
HOUSTON, Texas — A woman was arrested after allegedly assaulting a constable deputy during a disturbance on July 20, 2024. Deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office responded to a disturbance in the 15000 block of Philippine Street. Upon arrival, the female suspect became combative and refused all verbal commands, according to a press release from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4. While attempting to detain her, she physically resisted and assaulted the deputy, causing pain and visible injury.

Suspect charged in shooting of two men in Houston
HOUSTON, Texas — Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the shooting of two men at 2000 Oakdale Street around 2:55 a.m. on March 24. The suspect, 35-year-old Charles Dee Strain III, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in the 482nd State District Court, according to a press release from the Houston Police Department.
