Richmond spokesperson received $14K in severance pay
Former city spokesperson Petula Burks received more than $14,000 in severance pay when she left her position earlier this month. Burks departed amid questions about her use of a city credit card and after she’d been named in a whistleblower lawsuit. Danville Parks and Rec. Officially Opens Doyle Thomas Splash Pad
Danville Parks and Recreation held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday for the new splash pad in Doyle J Thomas Park. The ribbon cutting followed a soft opening on Monday. The new splash pad will be open from 10 am to 6 pm Monday-Thursday and 10 am to 8 pm Friday-Sunday. This is the second splash pad that the City of Danville has opened this summer after opening the one at Third Avenue earlier in the summer.
