CHEER hosting 2024 Fall Festival
The Nutrition Program of CHEER, Inc. is hosting its Annual Trap Pond Fall Festival on Friday, Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at Trap Pond State Park, located off Route 24 east of Laurel. Entrance into the park is free. A detour around Trap Pond Road may be in effect, so plan extra time to travel.

Rapper affiliated with Philadelphia street gang 'YBC' shot dead in Olney: Sources
Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that left a popular rapper dead in the city's Olney section.Chopper 6 was over the scene around 3:34 p.m. Friday on the 5500 block of N. 6th Street. A white Hyundai SUV was held there as part of the investigation.Police say the 25-year-old male victim was shot multiple times in the chest and hand, but officers are still working to find where the shooting happened.Sources have identified the victim as Abdul Vicks, a well-known rapper known as "YBC Dul." Philadelphia, PA – According to the court documents, the 38-year-old mom, later identified as CrystaI, and the 48-year-old dad, later identified as Shanne, were sentenced to 8 to 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple counts of child endangerment.
