(MyKeeneNow) – In a preseason poll conducted by the Little East Conference (LEC) coaches, Keene State College’s field hockey team has been predicted to secure the second spot in the upcoming 2024 season. State Rule Changes Threaten Medical Cannabis Providers
Vetted Cannabis is one of the medical offices affected by a state rules change. Rule changes made by the Maine Office of Cannabis Policy could seriously impact the operations of several medical cannabis caregivers here. Sanford’s zoning ordinance currently allows for a medical cannabis cultivator to have an office where they prescribe and sell product directly to their patients. Before that provision was created, medical providers in town had to meet their patients in a public place to deliver cannabis to them.

There are very few times that I go into Market Basket and don't think about the incredible display of loyalty that the employees showed 10 years ago this summer. In the summer of 2014, Market Basket's Board of Directors decided to fire Artie T. Demoulas. The next day, many employees started to strike due to loyalty with Artie T. and demanded that he be reinstated as CEO. Every media outlet gave the same story, stating that it was a family fight between two of the store's big bosses: cousins Artie T. Demoulas and Arthur S. Demoulas, grandsons of Arthur Demoulas, a Greek immigrant who founded the chain years ago.

Police searching for vehicle in Newburyport hit-and-run involving bicyclist
A vehicle hit a bicyclist earlier this week in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and then took off, police said, asking for the public's help in finding the vehicle. The incident occurred at about 4:43 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Pond and High streets, according to Newburyport police, who said three bicyclists were traveling east in the bike lane on High Street.
Custom Automatic Door Installation Solves Hotel Budget Constraints
A hotel in Londonderry, New Hampshire, faced budget constraints and was looking for a creative solution to upgrade their entrance from manual swing doors to an automatic sliding door without the costs associated with demoing and reframing the openings. Door Control, Inc., a part of Door Services Corporation, provided a solution with a custom installation.
Students head back to the classroom next week
KEENE, N.H. (MyKeeneNow) – Students in the Monadnock Region head back to school on next week. According to SAU 29’s website, school resumes for all districts on Tuesday, August 27th. Preschool at Jonathan Daniels and in Marlborough will begin after Labor Day on September 3rd, along with Kindergarten in both Keene and Chesterfield. Marlow preschool and kindergarten begins September 9th.

The newly unveiled Design for Recyclability Playbook, Design for Reuse Playbook, and Design for Compostability Playbook provide detailed guidelines to ensure that plastic packaging is continuously reused, recycled, or composted, thereby reducing plastic waste and its environmental impact.
