Robert Morris’ sophomore forward Alvaro Folgueiras is competing at the U20 European Championships in Poland, representing his home country of Spain. Carrollton hosts Malvern, Southern Local, New Phila
Carrollton, Malvern, Southern Local and New Philadelphia high school football teams converged on Community Field in Carrollton for 7-on-7 play July 11. The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced in April football 7-on-7 competition will now be permitted at any time prior to and after the season, other than the 28-day no-contact period immediately after the season. Previously, 7-on-7 competition was not permitted until May 15. Full practice and hitting are still not permitted during 7-on-7 play,

Fire destroys Brush Rd. barn
Two days after fire destroyed a 40×100-feet barn used to store hay and straw, smoke continued to escape from bales of hay exposed when the structure collapsed. Augusta Volunteer Fire Department Chief Charles Wright said his department was toned June 12 at 8:50 p.m. for a fully involved structure fire at 1235 Brush Rd., Minerva.
Tygart Lake Marina to close early due to water levels
GRAFTON, W.Va (WDTV) - Due to the unusually low water levels currently affecting Tygart Lake, the marina will be closing earlier than anticipated this season, officials said. Those with boats and jet skis at the marina are required to remove them from their assigned dock slips by the end of the day on Sunday, July 28th.
