Cadiz K-9 unit sniffs out drugs, leads to major arrest and plans for expansion
CADIZ, Ohio — The Cadiz Police Department made a drug arrest around 9:45 a.m. Monday using a K-9 unit to detect the drugs in the vehicle that led to the arrest of one man. "I responded with my K-9 – K-9 Lupo - where I ran him on the exterior of the vehicle on a free air sniff,” Lt. Ron Carter said. “K-9 Lupo immediately noticed an odor and he sat on the vehicle and inside the vehicle we noticed a large amount of methamphetamine syringes, what we believe might be possibly heroin as well as some glass smoking devices."
NABC Recognizes Men’s Basketball with Academic Honors
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) once again recognized the Geneva College men’s basketball team for their work in the classroom this past year, along with four individual players.It’s the fifth straight season the men’s basketball program has received the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award.
