DOVER, N.H. — Starting Tuesday, July 16, 2024, a section of Mast Road will be reduced to a single lane of alternating two-way traffic for approximately eight weeks, according to the City of Dover's Community Services Department. This traffic adjustment will be managed by temporary signals and is necessary to facilitate ongoing construction activities at the Pierre B. Bouchard Public Works Facility located at 271 Mast Road.

The specific section affected is between the two driveways of the public works facility. This measure is essential to ensure the stability of Mast Road during site excavation work related to the construction of a new building for the Inspection Services division.

Motorists traveling to and from the public works facility and the adjacent Recycling Center at 265 Mast Road can expect to maintain access throughout the construction period, although brief delays may occur.

The lane closure is a precaution due to the challenging underlying soil conditions in the area, ensuring that both workers and the public remain safe while construction is underway.

Residents and motorists seeking more information about the construction or traffic changes are encouraged to contact Community Services at 603-516-6450. The City of Dover appreciates the public's patience and cooperation as they work to improve city facilities and infrastructure.
