SALISBURY, MA – In response to the frequent traffic congestion experienced on peak beach days, Salisbury officials have implemented new traffic control measures aimed at improving the flow and safety on Cable Avenue at the south end of the beach.

Starting from 9:00 a.m. this Saturday and Sunday, non-resident vehicles will be restricted from making right turns from Beach Road onto Cable Avenue. Clear signage will be in place, displaying "No Right Turn," "No Beach Parking," and "Resident Access Only" to guide motorists and enforce the new rule.

This initiative, which is being tested on a trial basis, is designed to reduce gridlock and ensure smoother travel for beachgoers and residents alike. During this period, residents and their guests can still access this popular beach area via Railroad Avenue.

City officials are asking for cooperation from the public and express gratitude in advance for adherence to the new guidelines. The outcome of this trial will help determine permanent solutions to the traffic issues that have been affecting the area during the busy summer months.
