Rochester Public Library is set to host a college preparedness workshop

Led by Meg Martinson from Cider Hill Advising, this event is designed to assist students and families with navigating the complex college application process. Martinson, an educator and coach with extensive experience in both academics and athletics, will cover a range of essential topics.

Attendees can expect to learn about what colleges seek in applicants, application timelines, building a school list, athletic recruiting, essay writing, financial considerations, standardized testing (SAT/ACT), and summer preparation strategies.

Martinson’s tailored approach focuses on guiding students through high school to help them identify schools that align with their abilities and aspirations. By offering personalized coaching, she ensures students build well-rounded academic profiles to stand out in the competitive college admissions landscape.

The workshop will conclude with a Q&A session, where attendees can seek advice on specific concerns regarding the application process.
