Parkland’s Dawkins ready to handle bigger role with slimmer build on Penn State football’s O-line
Nick Dawkins will have a critical role for the Penn State football team this fall. And he’ll be shouldering those responsibilities with a thinner build. Dawkins, a Parkland High School graduate, is on track to be the Nittany Lions’ starting center when they kick off the season Aug. 31 at West Virginia. To prepare for those duties in the system of new offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki, the offensive lineman lost 15 pounds.

Pittsburgh schools earmark $52,000 to address racism in math
