Discussions are underway in New Franklin over whether it’s feasible to renovate the city’s pool or remove it.

The city pool was among the items discussed by the New Franklin Board of Aldermen at their monthly meeting July 8th. Mayor Daniel Yount says opinions are split.

Yount says the city will first need to find out what repairs are needed.

New Franklin Mayor Daniel Yount adds that the city also considered whether to pursue bids for improvements to Boggs Street, and if the city’s food pantry should move to the police station following the sale of its previous home. The board also set a date for an upcoming inspection of the city’s water tower.
