Time to say your goodbyes before the vampires of FX’s What We Do in the Shadows go to their eternal resting place.

The sixth and final season of the acclaimed supernatural comedy will premiere Monday, Oct. 21 at 10/9c on FX with the first three episodes, TVLine has learned, and will stream the next day on Hulu. FX announced that Season 6 would be Shadows’ last in December.

In the new season, the vampires “will enter the workforce, visit New Hampshire, go to a human dinner party, fête The Baron and conjure a demon — all while trying to find their place and their purpose in this crazy, mixed-up world,” per the official synopsis. Plus, “when their former roommate reappears after a 50-year nap,” the vamps “realize how little they’ve done in half a century.”

Shadows revolves around a group of vampires who live together in Staten Island and do their best to blend in with their human neighbors. The cast includes Kayvan Novak as Nandor, Matt Berry as Laszlo, Natasia Demetriou as Nadja, Harvey Guillén as human familiar Guillermo and Mark Proksch as energy vampire Colin Robinson.

Last week, Shadows earned eight Emmy nominations for its fifth season on FX, including nods for best comedy series and best lead actor in a comedy for Berry. ( Check out our season finale recap here .)

Guillén offered some juicy teases for the final season when speaking with TVLine in May: “I think we end with a bang. I would say we’re building up to something very expensive… We’re in a different world.” He also hinted at fresh tension between Guillermo and his beloved Nandor, now that Guillermo’s dream of becoming a vampire is no more: “Just because you want something bad enough doesn’t mean that it’s meant for you… and now the only thing that kind of kept you together was this want and hope of getting what you wanted. Did you build a foundation of friendship? Or was it built just on a business transaction?”
