One person was injured after a UTV crash in Seabrook, New Hampshire on Friday. He also remarked about the significant improvements to other City recreational areas such as the Noble Pines Splash Pad, Mast Point Dam kayak launch and other associated upgrades made possible with LWCF Grant funds. A 20-year-old man from New Hampshire died while swimming in Bar Harbor Thursday, authorities say. The Maine Department of Marine Resources says several law enforcement and rescue agencies were on hand for hours Thursday afternoon, in the vicinity of the water around Clark Cove, investigating. Northfield man sentenced for embezzling over $500,000 from non-profit
Burlington, VT- A Northfield man has been sentenced to just over two years in prison for embezzling more than half a million dollars from a Royalton-based non-profit. According to court records, John Van Vught, 73, from Northfield, stole about $558,625 from ValleyNet, a nonprofit group advocating for affordable and effective internet access in the Upper Valley of New Hampshire and Vermont. Investigators say that while Van Vught was working as an accountant for ValleyNet between 2013 and 2022, he electronically transferred money to himself.
