New Hampshire’s Broadcaster of the Year, Jamie Staton, Signs Off WMUR After 26 Years
Jamie Staton is moving on from WMUR after 26 years to Easter Seals of New Hampshire and Vermont, according to WMUR. Jamie has been on the sports desk for WMUR for decades. On his last broadcast, Jamie wanted to thank Alicia (his news director), Jason King (who worked beside him for 26 years), all his friends at Dartmouth, and his Mom Martha. Of course, he also thanked his work family.
Vermont bank robbery suspect arrested after 20-mile police pursuit in NH
A man wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Vermont was arrested Monday in New Hampshire following a 20-mile police pursuit. Shortly after 4 p.m. Monday, New Hampshire State Police said they began pursuing a vehicle on Interstate 93. The vehicle, a blue 2013 BMW 550i, had been reported stolen out of Nashua on Sunday, and the driver was believed to be a suspect in a bank robbery at the Passumpsic Bank in Newport, Vermont, earlier on Monday. During the robbery, the suspect threatened that he had a weapon.

Accessible Leavitt Park reopens Monday
The grand reopening of the Leavitt Park Playground was held in Lakeport on Monday afternoon. The playground has a new ground covering of mostly wood mulch, and also has several elements accessible by people who use mobility devices such as wheelchairs. The playground renovation cost over $300,000 in total and the deconstruction and reconstruction of the playground took about two months.
