Bedminster artist’s out-the-box mural complete
Ed Bennett’s mural on the side of his Bedminster barn is finally complete. The finishing touch was the American flag he had mounted on the roof as a three-dimensional extension of his painting, which shows black, brown, white and red-tinted forearms and hands reaching upward, clasping a pole. Bennett, who owns and operates the Galvanized America Inn and Art Gallery with his wife, Sherri, said the mural is meant to evoke a message of inclusivity and diversity. If you’ve driven anywhere in Buckingham lately there’s no doubt you’ve noticed the hundreds of bright red “No Warehouse” signs planted in yards and intersections. These signs are a symbol of the fight the local residents have been waging against a New Jersey developer intent on building what we believe is actually a truck terminal on farmland that isn’t zoned for freight processing of this sort.
Solebury School’s Wesp commits to Westminster College
Solebury School star student-athlete Sawyer Wesp, Class of 2024, will attend Westminster College in New Wilmington, and join its men’s soccer program this fall. Wesp signed his letter of intent during a ceremony held at Solebury on May 29. He was joined by coaches, his family and teammates to celebrate the occasion.
STHS hosts Building Your Family Tree program
Solebury Township Historical Society is offering a second program in its genealogy series, at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 21. The program will cover fundamentals of creating a family tree, starting with what you already know and exploring online sources to add to your tree. Participants will look at several websites that offer great information about their family, and talk about pros and cons of each website.

Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating Leah Rodgers, a 16-year-old girl who has been missing since July 2, 2024. Leah Rodgers is listed in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) under the reference number M277997019. The authorities have provided two photographs of Leah Rodgers to aid in the search.
Jerome Edens Charged In Rasheedah Lane Murder: PPD
Jerome Edens, 67, surrendered to police on Tuesday, July 16, PPD wrote in a release. Lane was found with multiple gunshot wounds on the 2100 block of North Camac Street on July 9, according to officials. She was taken to Temple University Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries an hour later, authorities said.
