Baileys Arrested Following High-Risk Traffic Stop Early Sunday Morning
A Carlyle Illinois man is free on a Notice to Appear while a Carmi man is behind bars after what Carmi Police call a high-risk traffic stop resulted in their arrests early Sunday morning. It was about 2:20am when officers say they pulled over the pair in the 400 block of South Walnut. 22-year-old Cory Bailey of Carlyle was arrested and charged with Fleeing/Eluding Police. 23-year-old Christopher Bailey remains behind bars. He was arrested on two warrants, one a misdemeanor from this year; the other a 2023 felony. Online court records don’t show details on the misdemeanor; the felony warrant is related to a January 2023 incident in which it appears Bailey took a plea deal. He’s due in court at 10am Monday.

The program is designed for children ages two to seven with and without intellectual disabilities. (Ripley Ohio Dearborn Counties, Ind.) - Special Olympics Indiana - Ripley Ohio Dearborn Counties is thrilled to announce the introduction of their newest initiative: Special Olympics’ Young Athletes program. Special Olympics, Inc. first piloted the program in 2005-06 in eleven countries, including the United States. In the United States, programs were piloted in Texas, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Iowa, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Delaware, and California. The program will be the first in the state of Indiana, setting a new precedent for early childhood sports and inclusion.
