    2 seriously injured after car crashes into tree in New Haven

    NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — New Haven police say two people were seriously injured after a car struck a tree early Tuesday morning.

    Officers responded to the crash in the area of Farren Avenue and Fairmont Avenue around 1:46 a.m.

    Fire crews had to extricate two people from the vehicle. Police said the driver is in critical condition and the passenger is considered stable.

    The New Haven police crash reconstruction team is investigating.
