Avelo Airlines doubles flights to Puerto Rico, extends scheduling dates for all destinations

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Avelo Airlines representatives Wednesday announced they’re extending the airlines’ East Coast flight schedule through January, allowing people to book further out.

In Connecticut, fliers out of Tweed New Haven Airport (HVN) can now book flights through Jan. 7, instead of the previous limit of Nov. 6. Representatives wanted to give people the option to book their holiday travel early.

All 26 nonstop destinations Avelo offers from HVN are included in the extension, with fares starting at $41 one-way.

Avelo is also doubling the frequency of their flights from New Haven to San Juan, Puerto Rico from twice a week to four times a week.

Instead of just flying between the cities on Wednesday and Saturday, they’re adding Fridays and Mondays too.
