NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — People in the New Haven area looking for a new job have a new weapon at their disposal.

Workforce Alliance, a state organization that helps train workers to find and get good jobs, held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday at its new office in Fair Haven.

Rep. Rosa DeLauro spoke at the ceremony, stating that the organization will aid in the job search by hosting career workshops, business seminars, computer assistance, skill development, job training, childcare and more. She said that these issues are barriers to unlocking the talent and potential of “so many people.”

Workforce also has offices in Meriden, Middletown and Hamden.
