Men’s basketball continues to round out schedule with Cornell matchup
In what’s a usual occurrence, Syracuse Men’s Basketball announced earlier this week that they will face Cornell this season. This will be the tenth matchup in eleven years between these programs, but to call the Orange and Big Red rivals would be a stretch. Syracuse has been dominant for decades against the Ivy League opponent, having won 42 straight games since 1968 against Cornell.
Syracuse TV host leaving ‘Bridge Street’ after 4 years
Syracuse television host Steve Infanti is leaving “Bridge Street Live” after four years on the daytime talk show. Infanti announced Friday that next week will be his last week on “Bridge Street Live,” though he will be staying at NewsChannel 9 (WSYR-TV) full-time. Infanti said he’ll now focus “100 percent” of his time and energy on his role as the ABC affiliate’s sports director as Syracuse football heads into its “most anticipated” season in more than 20 years.

31-year-old Central NY motorcyclist dies after motorcycle crash in North Country
Rutland, N.Y. — A 31-year-old man, who crashed and hit a metal culvert, died Friday in Jefferson County, troopers said. Adam L. Lyon, of Bridgeport in Madison County, was riding his green 2024 Kawasaki ZX14R southwest on County Route 49 in Rutland around 1:05 p.m. when he crashed on a curve, according to news release from state police.
