    Power restored for customers in New Hope

    UPDATE: Power has been restored for the previously reported area as of 1:05 p.m.

    Huntsville Utilities says that crews found a broken cross arm brace at 5039 Main Drive in New Hope.

    Repairs have been made and the substation breaker has been closed.

    Any customers in this area who are still without power should report it by calling 256-53-LIGHT (256-535-4448).


    NEW HOPE, Ala. (WHNT) — Huntsville Utilities is working on a power outage that is impacting multiple customers.

    According to Huntsville Utilities, the outage is impacting customers from Cherry Tree Road South to the Marshall County line and from Highway 431 Southeast to the Jackson County line.

    According to the Huntsville Utilities outage map, nearly 870 people are without power.

    Service will be restored as quickly as possible.

    The specific cause of the outage has not been confirmed at this time.
