If you're craving for a taste of authentic Korean food, So Kong Dong Tofu House is a spot you might want to consider. The restaurant prides itself on its Korean tofu pot, which is a personal favorite of mine. The secret behind their delicious tofu is the mill for grinding beans, which was shipped all the way from Korea. It's so good that every time I return from a trip, I find myself wanting to head straight there for a bowl.
The service can be a bit hit or miss, with some finding it a bit off-putting, while others appreciate the quick and efficient service, especially when it comes to refilling side dishes. The food, however, is where So Kong Dong Tofu House truly shines. The Spicy Seafood Tofu Soup, Spicy Beef Tofu Soup, Japchae, and Steamed Pork Dumplings come highly recommended. The Yukgaejang, though, could use a bit more noodles and a boost in flavor. But if you're missing that home-cooked Korean food feeling, this place is a reliable spot to satisfy your cravings. Just remember, it might get a little busy during peak hours, so plan your visit accordingly.
