Why MINKA Japanese | Kitchen Should Be Your Next Dining Destination

Recently, I had the pleasure of dining at MINKA Japanese | Kitchen, a cozy and elegant izakaya nestled in Cliffside Park. The moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of fresh seafood. The fried oysters, a personal favorite, transported me back home with their authentic taste.

The donburi is a must-try here. The preparation might take a bit, but trust me, the wait is worth it. The quality of the food more than makes up for it. The Botan Ebi & Uni, a unique appetizer, was a delightful surprise. The huge piece of ebi, combined with the refreshing aguachile and finger limes, was a treat to the palate.

The Tuna sashimi special was another standout. The fish was so tender, it practically melted in my mouth. The Truffle Tuna Toro Don and Wagyu Steak Donburi were also worth mentioning. The latter, with its perfectly cooked onsen egg and seared mushroom, was a gastronomic delight. The meal ended on a sweet note with a complimentary slice of matcha cheesecake.

MINKA is a BYOB restaurant, so feel free to bring your favorite bottle. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is warm. I highly recommend MINKA for its quality food and excellent service. I can't wait to go back and try their brunch menu!
