I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chengdu 1 Palace, and let me tell you, it's a gem for any occasion, be it a cozy family dinner or a grand business banquet. The treasure dishes here are something to talk about, especially the Kung Pao Peanut Shrimp with its crispy skin, and the Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab that's as fresh as it gets. The authentic Sichuan zing of the Boiled Sliced Beef in Hot Chili Oil had my taste buds dancing, and the Stir-fried Kidneys were cooked to perfection.

The ambiance of the place adds to the dining experience, with a beautiful koi pond that brings a sense of tranquility to your meal. The restaurant is spacious enough to host large parties, and the menu is brimming with generous portions that will leave you with a satisfying doggy bag to take home. The Peking duck, served with wraps, and the eggplant in garlic sauce were personal favorites, although I'd love the duck to be just a tad warmer next time.

What's more, the dim sum here is a real treat, available all the time with carts rolling out on weekends for that authentic touch. The hot and sour soup and shrimp dim sum are must-tries. And if you're celebrating a special occasion, like a birthday, the staff makes it all the more memorable with their friendly and welcoming service. For those who prefer the comfort of their home, take-out is an option. Chengdu 1 Palace is a no-fuss spot with top-quality Chinese cuisine that's definitely worth a visit.
