My recent visit to Molos, a seafood restaurant with a charming nautical theme, was a mixed bag of experiences. The ambiance truly sets the stage, giving you the feeling of dining on a boat with stunning views of the river and cityscape. The menu boasted an array of seafood dishes, and I was excited to try the grilled octopus and lobster fettuccine, both of which were fresh and enjoyable, though the octopus could have been a bit more flavorful.
However, not all dishes met expectations. The slow-roasted lamb shank was more gamey than anticipated, and the seafood pasta was a letdown with scant seafood and missing clam meat. The whole fish, while a promising choice, turned out to be a challenge with too many bones that detracted from the meal. The lobster bisque also missed the mark for me, feeling a bit too greasy for my taste.
Despite these culinary ups and downs, the service was attentive, though it seemed to fluctuate with the busyness of the place. While Molos might not have fully lived up to my foodie hopes, the breathtaking views and certain dishes were highlights. It's a spot that might be worth visiting for the scenery and select menu items, especially if you're a fan of picturesque dining experiences.
