Two Pennsylvania men have been charged with robbing guests in a Sussex County motel room at gunpoint last weekend, authorities said.

Vincent Cruz, 34, and Osnil Valdez, 32, both of Allentown, Pennsylvania, are facing robbery and firearms-related charges in the incident at the Cobmin Ridge Motel in Branchville, the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office stated in a press release Friday.

At 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, three masked men entered a room at the motel and robbed the occupants, the release stated. The victims reported the crime to the New Jersey State Police, who began a joint investigation with the prosecutor's office.

The investigation led authorities to Allentown, Pennsylvania, in pursuit of the suspects. Cruz and Valdez were charged Tuesday with assistance from the Allentown Police Department and the Lehigh County District Attorney's Office.

The two men are currently pending extradition to New Jersey. The third alleged perpetrator has not been apprehended or identified.

State Police and the prosecutor's office are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sussex Station at 973-383-1514.
