Bank of America Is Closing These 62 Branches in 2024
By Jenni Sisson,

As more customers go online to do their banking, brick-and-mortar branches are shutting down.
Seeing your favorite bank location close can be challenging if your efforts to build up your savings include frequently visiting your branch. But such closures are a reality as foot traffic falls.
In 2024, Bank of America plans to close a bunch of branches. Here is a list of the closures, with the expected closing date for each branch.
This closure isn’t a shocker, as there are several other Band of America locations near this branch. Fortunately, customers won’t have to go too far to find another location to serve them.
This list of Bank of America closures in California is the latest in a series of closures that started in 2023.
The hardest-hit region is the San Francisco Bay Area, which will see more than two dozen closures by the end of 2024.
3. Connecticut
March 19:
162 E. Putnam Ave., Greenwich
April 30:
417 Shippan Ave., Stamford
Aug. 20
70 Farmington Ave., Hartford
48 Wall St., Norwalk
In a statement, Bank of America noted that the team members who work in these four soon-to-be-shuttered Connecticut locations will have the option to relocate to other branches.
As with Atlanta, the disappointment of seeing these branches close might be reduced by the fact that many other branches in Boston will remain open.
8. Michigan
Jan. 26:
1310 S. Rochester Road, Rochester
Rochester’s 13,000 residents will still have two more Bank of America branches they can visit.
9. Missouri
Arnold, Missouri, residents will no longer have a brick-and-mortar Bank of America location, although they will still have access to the ATM on St. John’s Church Road.
The New Milford location is only 2 miles from another branch in Bergenfield. So, customers will still have nearby banking access.
11. New York
Jan. 30:
4767 Boston Post Road, Pelham Manor
March 5:
23 East Main St. Washingtonville
March 8:
72 Second Ave., New York
March 25:
808 Columbus Ave., New York
Bank of America is one of the most popular banks in New York. But the bank closed a half-dozen locations in the state in 2023 and is slated to close four more in 2024.
12. Nevada
May 21:
5485 Camino Al Norte, North Las Vegas
While the Camino Al Norte location is one of the only branches in the northeastern quadrant of the Las Vegas metro, customers will still have several other branches in the area to choose from.
Bank of America is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, but that doesn’t grant the state immunity from closures. The Tar Heel State made out better than most places, however, with just one branch closing in 2024.
14. Oklahoma
March 26:
515 South Boulder Ave., Tulsa
Sadly, the Bank of America branch in downtown Tulsa is closing. Luckily, Tulsa is home to around a dozen other Bank of America branches.
15. Pennsylvania
March 12:
3100 Garrett Road, Drexel Hill
Unlike some nearby states, Pennsylvania won’t be too hard hit by Bank of America closures.
Drexel Hill — a suburb of Philadelphia — will see one location close. But many others are still available in and around the City of Brotherly Love.
16. Tennessee
March 12:
213 5th Ave. N, Franklin
One of two Bank of America branches in Franklin, Tennessee, will close in 2024, but the other branch will remain open.
17. Texas
March 26:
780 South MacArthur Blvd., Coppell
Bank of America has dozens of locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth megaplex. So, although the location on MacArthur Boulevard will close, the area will still have dozens of other branches.
18. Virginia
April 9:
2061 Lynnhaven Parkway, Virginia Beach
May 9:
1111 East Main St., Richmond
The East Main Street location in Richmond is one of the few branches on the eastern side of the city. So, seeing it close will be painful for some residents.
19. Washington
June 11:
20708 Bothell-Everett Highway, Bothell
Aug. 13:
11060 NE 6th St., Suite 80, Bellevue
Although these two branches will close, both cities have other Bank of America branch options.
Bottom line
When you are trying to build wealth , it is good to have a bank branch you can visit. But brick-and-mortar branches continue to close as more people turn to online banking.
Fortunately, customers in many of the places on this list will have other branches available to them should they want to continue to keep their money with Bank of America.
