Throughout NBA history, players have been known to play pranks on their teammates. However, few incidents compare to the shocking and bizarre spiel exhibited by Brad Miller towards Mike Bibby . In an attempt to provoke the 6’1” point guard, who maintained a cleaner environment, the two-time All-Star would leave freshly hunted, dead animals in Bibby’s locker after practice sessions.

    Bibby on Miller’s crazy pranks

During their four-and-a-half seasons together with the Sacramento Kings, Miller and Bibby formed a formidable duo, leading the team to three playoff appearances and advancing as far as the second round. Their on-court chemistry was evident in their fluent pick-and-roll plays. Off the court, their friendship blossomed to such an extent that the 6’11” center felt comfortable pushing the boundaries to an entirely different level.

Bard’s idea of a prank involved going on a hunting spree and hanging his prey on Mike’s locker room - an act that certainly crossed conventional lines. This unusual behavior left such an impression on Bibby that when asked on ‘the OGs’ podcast about his funniest locker room story, the New Jersey native immediately recalled Miller’s outlandish antics.

"Brad knows, I like clean," Bib said . "I came in my locker room one time, he had two dead ducks nailed to my locker, like hanging from my locker. He just just ‘em, put ‘em in the back of his truck and brought them to the arena and hung it up on my locker."

    It wasn’t just ducks

While Bibby might simply recall ‘duck heads,’ Metta World Peace, who spent two full seasons with the pair, painted a more vivid picture. He mentioned that not only were there duck heads but also deer heads and turkeys regularly hung up after practice sessions. Though the 2004 DPOY initially found this antic ‘shocking,’ he eventually saw the humorous side of it.

"You don't want a turkey in your locker, not when you're focused, like, 'I’mma have a good practice. I'm gonna bust somebody’s butt in practice. I'mma work hard,'" World Peace said. "Now you got a dead turkey... It was funny."

Since MWP and Bibby both found this antic funny, it’s clear they weren’t the type of teammates to hold a grudge against a player who had the audacity to pull off such bold pranks that could’ve offended anyone.
