The Biggest Villains in Real Housewives of New Jersey History

No one is afraid of the big bad wolf in the Garden State when you have some of the most intense villains on the Real Housewives of New Jersey . Since the show first premiered in 2009, there have been fan favorites, and there have been women fans love to hate. Every good season needs an evil presence. A person that will shake the cast to its core and leave fans talking until the next season premiers.

Danielle Staub

Even though Danielle Staub liked to see herself as a victim, she was perhaps one of the most cunning Real Housewives of New Jersey stars of all time. During Season 1, she made it her mission to try to take down Teresa Giudice and Dina Manzo but failed miserably. The mother of two often dragged her daughters into her petty drama and even pretended to have her own little mob-like gang full of ex-cons.

After leaving at the end of Season 3, fans thought that was the last we’d see of Danielle. But to our surprise, she returned as a friend of Teresa’s during Season 10. Only a true villain can blend in with those around her to make them think they are chummy. But by the end of Season 10, Danielle once again showed her true colors. She chose to pull Margaret Josephs’ pigtails which divided the cast and ended her time on the series.

Teresa Giudice

The OG of New Jersey tries to come across as sweet and kind, but underneath, her blood boils. Teresa was all about loyalty; if she felt you betrayed her, you were dead to her. The first inkling fans got that she was a villain in the making was her table-flipping scene. She then continued her rampage against Danielle in a country club chase scene, leaving the first villain in tears.

Eventually, Teresa moved on to other prey like her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga . Nothing screams villain more than trying to set up your brother’s wife as a stripper. Tre also threw out the sprinkle cookies that a pregnant Melissa brought as a Christmas offering. When it comes to Teresa, if she doesn’t like you, she makes it very clear where you stand with her. Her go-to moves include throwing drinks and smashing glass, so watch out for this one. You don’t want to get on her bad side.

Amber Marchese

Even Bravo kingpin Andy Cohen advises fans to skip the Amber Marchese seasons. Fans first felt empathy for her as she shared her story of cancer survival. But as the season wore on, she and her husband, Jim Marchese , morphed into monsters. Amber overacted and tried way too hard to be Tre’s friend. Between the scene with Victoria Gotti and fake smoking a cigarette on the group trip, she was just too much.

But perhaps Jim was the worst of the two. The man was over dramatic and even was arrested for an alleged domestic abuse incident against Amber via People . The man picked a fight with everyone, especially the women, which was just a no-no in Garden State. Even after leaving the show, he made waves for disowning his son for being gay. These two were pieces of work, and fans are thankful they are no longer on the series.

Margaret Josephs

I can’t help but think that Margaret Josephs deserves a place on this list. Even though she might not be the most malicious, she has definite villain tendencies. The first hint fans were given was when she pushed Danielle’s husband into the pool. But Season 14 has shown a more activated side of Margaret, especially after her friendship breakup with Jackie Goldschneider . In a recent episode, the Macbeth Collection owner called Jackie “a nasty f*cking assh*le.” On top of that, she outed Jackie’s name-calling to Dolores Catania by forwarding private text messages. While this made for a great TV moment, it definitely wasn’t the nice thing to do.
