    NJ HALL OF FAME: 2024 inductees include Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd and founder of Jersey Mike's

    NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- The next wave of New Jersey’s greatest has been announced to be inducted into the New Jersey Hall of fame.

    Eighteen inductees will be honored at the 16th Annual New Jersey Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Some of the noteworthy New Jerseyans being praised include actress Meryl Streep; actor Paul Rudd; soccer great Tim Howard; Jersey Mike’s founder Peter Cancro; renowned writer Gay Talese; and Elizabeth Coleman White, who developed the first cultivated blueberry.

    The pre-taped televised event, occurring at the American Dream mall, will be aired on Nov. 13 on Fox 5, My9 and social media.

    Among the preeminent hall of farmers, their achievements are categorized into different sections, with accomplishments in the in Arts and Letters, Education and Science, Enterprise, Performing Art and Entertainment, Public Service and Sports.

    Jon F. Hanson, chairman of the NHJOF, says this event is dedicated to honoring these individuals for their contributions to society.

    "The 2024 class of Inductees of the New Jersey Hall of Fame illustrate the New Jersey ethic of hard work, determination, and grit," said Hanson. "We are thrilled to celebrate the contributions of 18 new Inductees so future generations can learn about their journeys."
