“The Terror” Season 3 has rounded out its main cast, Variety has learned.

A dozen actors have now joined previously announced lead Dan Stevens in the new season, which is officially titled “The Terror: Devil in Silver.” It is based on the novel “The Devil in Silver” written by Victor LaValle.

The new additions are: Judith Light (“Before,” “Out of My Mind”), CCH Pounder (“Rustin,” “NCIS: New Orleans”), Chinaza Uche (“Silo,” “A Good Person”), Hampton Fluker (“Shades of Blue,” “Instant Family”), b (“WeCrashed,” “You”), Aasif Mandvi (“Evil,” “This Way Up”), John Benjamin Hickey (“The Big C,” “Lilly”), Stephen Root (“Barry,” “Heads of State”), Hayward Leach (“Tom Swift,” “Love Life”), Michael Aronov (“The Americans,” “Operation Finale”), Marin Ireland (“Sneaky Pete,” “Glass Chin”), and Philip Ettinger (“First Reformed,” “I Know This Much Is True”).

Per the official series description, Stevens will play Pepper, described as “a working-class moving man who, through a combination of bad luck and a bad temper, finds himself wrongfully committed to New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital – an institution filled with the people society would rather forget. There, he must contend with patients who work against him, doctors who harbor grim secrets, and perhaps even the very Devil himself. As Pepper navigates a hellscape where nothing is as it seems, he finds that the only path to freedom is to face down the entity which thrives on the suffering within New Hyde’s walls – but doing so may prove that the worst demons of all live inside him.”

The season will consist of six episodes and is slated to debut on AMC and AMC+ in 2025. Filming is currently underway in New York and New Jersey.

Chris Cantwell and LaValle are writers and executive producers on the season. Karyn Kusama will executive produce and direct the first two episodes. Ridley Scott and David W. Zucker executive produce via Scott Free Productions along with Alexandra Milchan and Scott Lambert for Emjag Productions, Guymon Casady of Entertainment 360, Stevens, and Brooke Kennedy. AMC Studios produces.
