What is happening with Real Housewives of New Jersey ? Season 14’s upcoming finale is reportedly so divisive and vicious that the reunion was scuttled. Now fans will be treated to a glorified watch party while the cast spouts off from two different rooms. Yawn! While Andy Cohen has stated that the Garden State franchise is getting a refresh, his recent comments caused fans to worry. Well, at least some of them.

Andy Cohen is walking back his RHONJ “reboot” comments

Andy recently shared that a Jersey “reboot” was on the way. He also stated of the upcoming cast changes, “ Maybe just all fresh faces .” Andy previously shared that Season 15 could move forward in four different ways, depending on which direction they decide on for the cast. I believe he is referring to a complete reboot, partial reboot, moving forward with Teresa Giudice , or keeping Melissa Gorga on the show. Teresa and Melissa no longer speak or interact with each other, which made filming Season 14 a real treat. Basically, the warring sisters-in-law can’t both be on the show.

Now Andy is clarifying his comment about stacking RHONJ with all new ladies. Ratemybravo shared a clip from Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live. “I was just riffing. We are going to reimagine the show in some way, and I was just like, ‘Yeah, we’re rebooting. Who knows? Maybe it’ll be all fresh faces,'” Andy explained. “And that was just me kind of in the mood.” After that comment, my mood could best be described as a “migraine from hell.” Don’t toy with us, Sir.

Andy seemed shocked that his remarks were “printed everywhere as though it was something [he has] not said on this broadcast 85 times.” He added that his comments were “not new news.” Most importantly, Andy stated, “I was … not definitively saying it’s going to be all fresh faces.” Somewhere Teresa is cheering.

Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14 finale airs on Sunday, August 4, at 8/7c on Bravo.
