This Berkshire Hike In Massachusetts Leads To A Hidden Gem
I normally workout at the gym when I get off the air in the morning but since I had a little time to kill during my travels last Spring, I figured why not go for a walk on the newly paved bike path that runs from Crane Avenue all the way to the Berkshire House of Corrections entrance. Along the way, I spotted this interesting gem that I never thought I'd see on a bike path.
Live Wire: Bousquet Mountain adds musical flavor to Berkshires
If people are talking about summer music in the Berkshires, the first thing that comes to mind is probably Tanglewood in Lenox or maybe Wilco’s annual Solid Sound Festival at MassMoCA in North Adams. But there’s another player in the game in the western part of the state: Bousquet...

THEATER REVIEW: ‘RENT’ plays at the Mac-Haydn Theatre through July 28
Mac-Haydn Theatre in Chatham, N.Y. To be clear, I do not like “RENT.” This is the fourth production I have seen and each time I feel let down and almost embarrassed that I am sitting through it. There are 20 identifiable songs in Act One, and I only like two of them: “Tango Maureen” and “La Vie Boheme.” I also enjoy the twanging electric guitar riffs on the melody of “Musetta’s Waltz,” which is referred to in a negative manner in the second act. Loosely based on Puccini’s opera “La Boheme,” this modern update retains only one character name: Mimi. However, the show blatantly exploits her manner of living, which makes her a disagreeable character, not good for the heroine of the show.
