    Fourth of July festivities

    On Thursday, July 4, the villages of New Lexington and Thornville will be holding their Independence Day celebrations.

    In New Lex, the parade will start at 1 p.m., will march through Main Street and end up at Arethusa Springs Park, where there will be activities hosted by the Fourth of July Committee. Fireworks will start at 10 p.m.

    In Thornville, the parade will begin at noon, followed by activities at Jake Shaner Park, and fireworks at 10 p.m.

    Somerset will hold its celebration on Saturday, July 6, with a parade kicking off at 11 a.m., followed by activities at Somerset Memorial Park, and fireworks at 9:45 p.m.

    On Sunday, July 7 there will be a celebration in Junction City. The parade will begin at noon, followed by activities at Junction City Park, and fireworks at 10:10 p.m.
