Suspect in custody following early morning stabbing incident in Amsterdam, police say
Amsterdam, NY (WRGB) — An Amsterdam man was arrested and charged with attempted murder following a stabbing, police say. On Thursday Aug. 15, 2024 at 12:25 a.m., the Amsterdam Police department received reports of a patient at Saint Mary’s Hospital emergency room with injuries reportedly from an assault. According to the Amsterdam Police detective bureau, whom responded and observed the victim, say he suffered multiple stab wounds and lacerations to the body and head.
