CSI Basketball's Johnson heading to Tennessee Tech
TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Guard Jaylon Johnson will be suiting up for Tennessee Tech this coming fall after playing this past season for the CSI Men's Basketball Program. Johnson, who garnered Region 18 Second-Team honors and made the Region 18 All-Tournament Team, led the Golden Eagles in steals per game at 2.2 and was second in assists per game at 4.3. He was CSI's second leading scorer at 14.9 points per game and pulled down an impressive 4.8 rebounds per game.

Police: Local man arrested for kicking in neighbors' front door, threatening them with knife
POCATELLO — A 22-year-old local man was recently arrested after police say he kicked in his neighbors’ front door and threatened to kill them while holding a large knife. Kootenai County Sheriff Offers $10,000 Reward for Evidence in Tort Claim
COEUR D'ALENE - Sheriff Robert B. Norris of Kootenai County has been accused in a tort claim of making derogatory statements towards Pennie Ann Collinson during an April campaign event. The allegations, made in front of approximately 50 people, have been vehemently denied by Sheriff Norris, who asserts that the claims are entirely false.
Approaching front will cool us down and clear some smoke
CBS2 Boise — A weak front will move in Wednesday afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center believes we'll see a marginal risk of severe weather as the front moves in. At minimum we'll see scattered thunderstorms. At worst, some of the storms will have the potential to be severe in nature. That means we could see gusty winds in excess of 55 mph in parts of the Treasure Valley. There is also a risk of flash flooding in some of the burn scars from recent fires in Harney and Baker County in Oregon. The scattered thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon should help to clear out the smoke just a bit.

Boise City Council approves 2025 budget with tax increases, foregone on 5-1 vote
The Boise City Council locked in its budget for the coming year, which comes with hikes for taxpayers to cover several major projects and rising everyday expenses. The $549.1 million budget, which includes the general fund fueled by property tax revenue and its self-funded enterprise funds like the Boise Airport and the water renewal system, includes a mix of capital investment in Mayor Lauren McLean’s priorities on housing and childcare as well as money to cover rising operations costs. The general fund portion of the budget is $327.2 million, which is a $26.3 million increase from last year.
