New Empanola Location Planned for the French Quarter

Empanola recently built out a new kitchen production facility ahead of a planned expansion, and now, it appears the popular empanada company is set to make good on those plans with a new location coming to the French Quarter . According to documents filed with the City of New Orleans , the new location at 630 St. Ann St. will have a café feel, selling empanadas, coffee and pastries. The company will supply pre-cooked foods to the café, so no cooking will be done on-site. The space is set to undergo minimal, non-structural renovations.

Empanola was launched in 2017 at the St. Roch Market . No longer at the market, the company has expanded to include four brick-and-mortar locations — with two in New Orleans and two in Biloxi, Miss . The two Crescent City locations are in the Lower Garden District and Uptown . The location planned for St. Ann Street would be the company’s first brick-and-mortar foray into The Quarter.
