New Bar and Restaurant Coming to Conti Street in the French Quarter

A former Mexican restaurant in the French Quarter is about to get a new life, as permit filings reveal Nas Bar & Restaurant is coming to 833 Conti St. According to filings with the City of New Orleans , Nas will take over from the former Cuñada located less than a block from Bourbon Street .

The new restaurant will largely maintain the same layout as the former tenant. Guests walking in can either visit the full bar to their right or be seated in a long narrow dining area with table seating for about 35 guests. Filings also revealed an adjacent food mart will be located next door at 835 Conti St.

Cuñada was a popular Mexican spot for its homemade tortillas and margaritas made with fresh-squeezed juices. The restaurant also offered a wide variety of tequila and mezcal.
