NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — New Orleans Restaurant Week continues through June 23. It’s a time where restaurants curate a menu for guests to enjoy at a special price. Boucherie , a restaurant inspired by southern Louisiana tradition, offers a space where communities come together to get a taste of that camaraderie.

Nathaniel Zimet is chef and owner of Boucherie, located off Jeanette Street in the Riverbend area. Nathaniel says they’ll be celebrating Restaurant Week with a $45 three-course dinner special.

Why is the stage turning at Le Petit Theatre in the French Quarter?

“We have a fried green tomatoes with boiled shrimp, avocado and a remoulade. We also have our classic grilled Caesar, which is made with parmigiano-reggiano and basil croutons. For our second course, we have one of our big classics, which is the Wagyu beef brisket with garlic, parmesan, French fries. And we also are offering a seared tuna dish,” Chef Nathaniel explained the options for the first two courses.

For dessert, they’re offering their signature Krispy Kreme bread pudding.

“It involves Krispy Kreme donuts, which is kind of a nod to my hometown in North Carolina. We make that with pound cake, eggs and cream, and we serve it with a rum caramel glaze,” said Chef Nathaniel.

“Boucherie is described as contemporary southern. We change our menu every other month. We really have an intention and we believe that everybody should have the ability to eat very well, even if it’s not very expensive,” explained the chef.
