Power restored to thousands following outage across New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Over 11,700 Entergy customers have had their power restored following an outage on Friday, June 28.

According to the Entergy outage map, the outage impacted residents in parts of the Uptown, Garden District, Central City and Broadmoor areas.

Entergy officials have not released the cause of the outage, but New Orleans City Councilman JP Morrell posted to social media that Entergy service crews were working in the area.

The outage happened as residents faced 87-degree weather with temperatures expected to rise over the weekend.
