We won't be getting any breaks from the heat and humidity any time soon.

In fact, the New Orleans metro area will be under yet another excessive heat warnind today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. High humidity will send heat indices jumping to as high 118°. Actual air temperatures will peak around 95°. As our weather is wont to do during the summer, scattered storms could pop up, so we'll keep our rain chances around 30 to 40 percent.

You can take Monday's forecast and copy and paste it for the rest of the week. However, rain chances Thursday, Friday, and the weekend are reduced slightly, falling to 20 percent for those two days.

While the forecast for Hurricane Beryl projects the storm heading to the Yucatán Peninsula and Mexico, we will want to keep an eye on it just in case. As long as the ridge of high pressure causing our stifling heat holds, Beryl won't be a threat to the Gulf Coast.

    MONDAY:
Partly cloudy. 40% scattered storms. Hot, humid. High: 94.
