Trey Murphy III has been Zion Williamson 's teammate for a couple of seasons now, so it's fair to say he already has a solid grasp of what the high-flying power forward is like on and off the floor. While the versatile small forward had a lot to say about the former first-overall pick, he summed it up in a straightforward sentence: "He's special."

    Someone who isn't easily impressed

Trey, a 6-foot-8 forward who has grown to become one of the New Orleans Pelicans ' most important players, admitted on "Podcast P with Paul George" that he isn't someone who becomes impressed with the feats of athleticism NBA players often display.

However, Zion is a different story. The 23-year-old forward is a physical specimen with incredible strength, explosiveness, and an unmatched level of finesse and agility on the court. His unique skills are a sight to behold, leaving even the most discerning basketball fans in awe.

"He's special. Like, I'm a hater at heart, and I don't get impressed by a lot of stuff, but bro, there are so many times there are different screen grabs and screenshots of me just being on the bench like, 'What?' Or like in the game, he'll throw the ball, just flick it with his left hand, hit the top of the square, and it just goes in. I'm just like, 'What?'" Trey said .

While there are plenty of ways to describe Williamson's spectacular skill and power, Murphy had a humorous take on it, saying that Zion moves like a "strong bar of soap."

"Literally, my best description for him is like a strong bar of soap. Solid but smooth," the third-year pro remarked. "He'll go through the lane, literally just jump super high, spin off somebody, and just lay it up."

The former Duke ace is coming off another solid season, averaging 22.9 points on 57 percent shooting, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game. However, the left-handed powerhouse couldn't compete in the NBA Playoffs after suffering a left hamstring strain in the Play-In Tournament.

    A difficult matchup

PG-13 is well aware of the daunting task of defending Zion. Even on a team with two-time Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard, the versatile wingman felt his former team still couldn't contain Williamson.

"We never had a game plan for Zion, dog. Because we couldn't. I remember y'all came to LA, and we were like, 'All right, back up, like all the way to the free throw line. He's going to bring it to us; just pack the paint.' We were picking him up at the elbow, and he was still getting to the cup," PG hilariously recalled.

Zion is a generational player with a long way to go before he reaches the peak of his abilities. However, if he can overcome his physical conditioning issues and stay healthy throughout the season, his potential impact on the NBA is immense.

Williamson's rise could reshape the league, making it a thrilling time for the Pelicans and basketball fans around the world.
