NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — After shutting its French Quarter doors in May, the owners of Saint John have announced a fall reopening in the Central Business District.

On Wednesday, July 10, Executive Chef and Owner Eric Cook said his award-winning Haute Creole concept restaurant will open with an updated lunch and dinner menu with many of the previous top-selling dishes.

Cook says the new location at 715 St. Charles Ave., the former location of Le Chat Noir, is in close proximity to Downtown, the Superdome, Lafayette Square and more. He adds that Saint John will soon become the perfect spot to enjoy a business lunch, family dinner or an extended happy hour.

“We believe in this concept, and we’re excited to make the restaurant easily accessible to the New Orleans community and incoming visitors with a more central location – we’ve got walk-on access to the streetcar, increased parking, Mardi Gras Parade Route views and so much more. It’s time to show this city what Saint John can really be.”

A part of Cook’s staff is Chef de Cuisine Darren Chabert, who has worked side-by-side with Cook for two years at Gris-Gris, Gris-Gris to Go Go and Saint John.

An opening date has not yet been announced but Cook says it will be announced later this summer.
