Ahead of training camp beginning next week for the New Orleans Saints, they made a handful of moves regarding injuries around their entire roster.

New Orleans made a choice on Thursday that may doom their 2024 offensive line. Their worst fears came to light for star offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk. They placed Ramczyk on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Saints OT Ryan Ramczyk expected to miss entire 2024 season

Players on the Reserve/PUP list must sit out the first four weeks of the regular season. Teams have a following five-week window in which they can allow the player to begin practicing. Then, they have a 21-day window to decide whether to activate him to the 53-man roster.

That being said, it seems unlikely that Ramczyk will return to the field in 2024 for New Orleans.

That is not new news, necessarily, but it's becoming more of a reality for everyone involved. It's heartbreaking for the top-flight OT.

In his first four years in the league, Ramczyk did not miss a single game. He missed four matchups in 2021 due to the injury. It's lingered, and he considers it to be a nagging problem that simply refuses to lighten up as of now. -- A to Z Sports

This could be the end of the line for Ramczyk in the pros, but hopefully, he can make a return in 2025.

Additionally, the Saints placed TE Juwan Johnson, DE Tanoh Kpassagnon, LB Nephi Sewell and DE Chase Young on the physically unable to perform list. They also placed WR Chris Olave on the non-football injury list

Olave's injury is not deemed to be serious whatsoever. It's a back tightness issue for the wideout. He will be fine, according to Nick Underhill .

Plus, Chase Young's status is trending in a positive direction. He is progressing well in his return from neck surgery earlier in the offseason. Expect him to be ready for the regular season, if not earlier, for the Saints.
