New Orleans Saints legend Drew Brees has been busy during retirement. One of his growing passions over the past couple of years has been pickleball.

The sport has been growing around the United States, and it's become one of the most beloved leisure activities and unique competitive sports over time.

It is played on a level court with short-handled paddles and a perforated hollow plastic ball that is volleyed over a low net. Matches feature two opposing players (singles) or two pairs of players (doubles), and the sport can be played either outdoors or indoors. Brees launched and headlined the NOLA Pickleball Festival in 2023. He also co-owns a professional team based in Los Angeles, California. He's trying to expand the sport on a consistent level. His latest business endeavor proves that concept.

Drew Brees opening a new business in Louisiana that includes pickleball

It will be an indoor facility in Metairie. The name of the business will be Pickle N Pins, and it will include pickleball, padel, duckpin bowling, darts, axe throwing and cornhole. The business will include a full bar and restaurant, too.

Lousiana was recently named the worst place for pickleball, according to the Pickleball Union website . Brees is clearly trying to change that narrative.
