NEW ORLEANS, La. ( WGNO ) – The New Orleans Saints and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed agreed on a one-year extension Saturday afternoon, keeping the wide receiver in the Black and Gold through the 2025 season.

Shaheed signed a one-year tenure back in March to return to New Orleans on a one-year deal, but the extension keeps the 2023 Pro Bowler with the Saints for the next two seasons.

The Weber State wideout finished last season second on the team in receiving yards (719) and tied-first in receiving touchdowns (5), alongside fellow wide receiver Chris Olave.

Shaheed was also one of only two players in the NFL last season with at least 300 scrimmage yards and 300 yards on punt and kick returns, earning the wideout First-Team All-Pro and Pro Bowl starter nods as a return specialist.

The Saints and Shaheed will begin their 2024 training camp session in Irvine, California, on July 24th.
